Google Adsense

Google Adsense has already been 10 years old (mature!). In the meantime lots of ad network companies appears and disappeared, some small companies turned into big one and then got bankrupt but still they were all far-far away from Adsense Ad-Network, that is being powered by more than 2 millions publishers and thousand of advertisers.

Google shares a satisfactory share of its earning with all publishers i.e. 68%. Google Adsense just announced its earning for last year to be $7 billion that means an average adsense publisher earned $3500 (that’s great! Moreover some publishers have more than 1 adsense account and even thousands of new publishers are joining adsense every month but the average’s earning is still huge!). Google Adsense sends out an average of 100,000 checks every month (threshold amount is be $100).

Google AdSense Defines itself as…

A free, flexible way to earn money from websites, mobile sites, and site search results with relevant and engaging ads.

And a few more words…

AdSense has helped over two million publishers grow their businesses in the last 10 years. Have AdSense fund your content so you can focus on creating even more.

Explaining Adsense in Simple Words…

Take my example, I had created a website on computer tech and IT but if I had to earn and pay expenses of blogging I have to monetize it. Advertisers may like my site but sometimes I write off topic or sometimes something that all advertisers might not be interested. I want to display only high paying ads but still nobody or all advertisers don’t know about my blog, also big firms do not like to deal with each individual.

Now I know Google and good advertisers like Microsoft, Dell, Facebook also know Google and we all trust Google (and its services) therefore advertisers will pay google and google will display selected and high paying ads on my blog from different publishers on different pages according to blog visitor (to get highest possible revenue). So, like a middle man Google Adsense will handle all the headache of collecting money, gathering advertisers, doing contract, providing stats (to both advertiser and publisher),  displaying appropriate ads for appropriate time-category and will do all the tedious job of ad management so that I can focus on blogging!

I get advertisers, I get money and I can focus on blogging rather than collecting money and handling advertisers. Now with the money I earned I can pay others to write for me, I can buy/lease servers and good quality hosting technologies. Anyway, that’s off topic what I am going to do with the money I earned but I am enjoying Adsense Earnings 🙂

How much Google Adsense Pay? How much you can Earn?

Google display different types of ads including CPC (Cost per Click) and CPM (Cost per Thousand/Mile). CPC means you will be paid for each click that you’ll receive on your adsense ads and CPM means you’ll be paid a certain amount after an ad (or certain ads) will be displayed 1000 times on your site, even if don’t get clicked (don’t worry you don’t need 1K ad views to get paid, you’ll be paid accordingly, mathematics is involved!).

How much you’ll earn depends on the niche of your site, other factors like quantity of traffic, Geo-location, placement of ads etc. highly effects earning. Those niches that are directly related with money, like insurance, real estate etc. have better CPC than others. The more the traffic you’ll get, better will be you adsense earnings but traffic from US, UK including CA and AU tends to pay higher CPC because of competition between advertisers in those country. You can expect your average CPC $0.10 to $0.30 although CPC for particular click may vary from $0.01 to $20. CPM ranges from $.50 to $3.00. Adsense usually display CPC ads and a few CPM ads according to what they find is beneficial. Anyway, Google Adsense pays very well than any other ad network and moreover provides lots of facilities to their publishers.

There are already many bloggers who are earning living with adsense and enjoying their life! Finally I want to inform you that recently Google Adsense has successfully completed its 10 years in advertising with 2 million publishers.
